Some people claim to hear a voice from within. Some people just have a knowingness or a wisdom that shines through. Others might experience a vision, a dream, or something else. Many times, my soul’s communication has dropped in through stillness, in the present moment, from within — like an epiphany.

Lately, communication from my soul has changed drastically — it seems to be coming from everything.

This experience isn’t something new. Many people, including myself, have experienced this before. I guess the difference for me now is the permanence or the abundance of the communication from Myself that is available to me. It’s so available to me that it’s easy to miss or ignore, because it’s always there.

The first time I experienced this was in college while I was going through an intense, fast, and traumatic awakening. I began to notice that everything was communicating to me. The communication I received wasn’t through words necessarily, but through synchronicities or an event that would happen after asking an internal question.

Sometimes I would notice out-of-the-ordinary details in my environment that were so intimate that no one would ever understand them as “a message” but myself. The communication came through sounds, smells, colors, visuals, senses, animals, nature, people, coincidences, numbers, symbols, or perfect timing. This level of communication wasn’t just a simple message coming through, the communication was also multi-layered. It was kind of c r a z y.

During that lucid experience of everything communicating to me, it was as if all of energy was responding to me all of the time. It felt like a massive flood of unending “signs” that couldn’t be ignored. It was o v e r w h e l m i n g and incredibly difficult to put into words. I remember trying to shut it down because I couldn’t function and I couldn’t process all of it. Frankly, I freaked some people out when I tried to explain it.

A lot of people have experienced this on some level — maybe on a more simple level. They’ve experienced a synchronicity or “a sign.” Some people have asked for “a sign” and usually when a sign happens, it comes from “The Universe,” “God,” or a “Guide.”

The change that I’ve experienced lately is that everything is communicating to me once again. This time it doesn’t feel so crazy or overwhelming. My mind has gone through it’s own transformation over the years and it doesn’t have to process or understand all of it.

This time I have a knowingness of energy and I know that it is responding to me constantly. Now I know that this communication coming from outside of me is from Me; my soul, the YOU-niverse, The-God-That-Is-You. This communication that surrounds me is coming from Myself as the Creator, communicating to the creator within the dream.

At some point, I realized that everything around me was communication. Every moment and every experience was energy responding to me, my soul in constant communication whether I was available to listen or not.

Here is a humble example…

One day I was fretting that I had not grown a project as much as I would have liked to this year and worried about how long it might take to grow. At that exact moment, I noticed a brand new papaya tree in my garden that had seemed to have grown over night. It was surprising! It had replaced one that had fallen a few months ago and it was larger than my body.

Although there were no words from my soul in that experience, this was my soul communicating to me. If I were to attempt to translate that experience and it’s layers it would have sounded something like…

“A seed has to be planted for anything to grow…

You already planted the seed and you didn’t even know it…

Things can grow faster than you can imagine, it doesn’t have to make sense, and it can be easy and natural…

Sometimes it takes a good distraction to allow a lot of fast growth…

When one thing falls, something new can replace it…

You can have what you want in a new way…

You live in a place that fosters fast growth…

Eat and enjoy a fresh papaya…”

In that small moment, I received a multi-layered communication. There was even more communication in that moment that I could never put into words, because the soul is grand, limitless, and impossible to fully translate. This is my humble attempt at sharing the grandness of communication that is available to all of us in every “mundane” moment. It’s just there.

Another example of communication from the soul…

I was driving my car. I was in a m o o d. I was flustered about something trivial and I could feel myself getting all worked up about it.

Suddenly, two identical convertibles, with seemingly identical people in them, pulled out in front of me. It was enough for me to halt my internal dialogue and do a double-take. It pulled me right out of the gravity of my current human dilemma and made me question what was happening. They were driving so sloooow. I couldn’t help but notice their relaxed attitudes and the wind blowing through their hair. I could tell they were enjoying life and the beauty around them. They were having a lot of fun, just exploring inside their cool cars.

This kind of communication from my soul reminded me of a parent with a crying child that suddenly distracts their child with something really strange — like introducing them to a sparkly object with blinking lights. Sometimes it’s enough to pull the child out of the tantrum and distract them into a different mood or some other behavior.

I love that my soul communicated a peculiar distraction to pull me out of my mood and connect me with the wisdom in front of me, which may have sounded something like this…

“Slow down…

Cheer up and relax…

Enjoy some time doing nothing…

Explore…

Let the experience move through you like the wind through your hair…

Take it one moment at a time…

Everything can be accomplished with ease…

Be like you are on a vacation…”

Like I said, these are humble examples of how the soul is in constant communication. I can only hint towards the grandness of how everything is communicating to you constantly and that everything is You.

I’m sure you have days where you might feel lost, you might feel disconnected from your truth, you might not know what to do. And perhaps you try to cultivate the stillness within and to your dismay, you still feel that you lack the communication with yourself that you desperately want.

Is all the communication with your Soul from within? Sure, it definitely can be AND it’s also all around you all the time. It’s everywhere. Take a look around. Open yourself to the abundance of communication that is always available to you. Recognize that this communication comes from You.

If you were ever in doubt of your grandness, let that lie fall away, because you are so big, you are so grand, you are everywhere in everything communicating to you; the Creator communicating to the creator within the dream.
